Audio files are files that contain voice and/or music for use on the platform in .wav format. Audio files can be used for voicemail greetings, hold music, IVRs, queues, announcements, etc.
Audio files can be created through our record by phone system or upload as a .wav file (60MB).
Record By Phone
Record by phone allows you to record your message over the phone.
Click Record By Phone to begin.
File Name. Create a name for the audio file.
Phone Number. Enter the phone number to be called to record.
Click Save to initiate the call. When you receive the call, answer by saying "hello" to activate, then follow the record, preview/redo, and save prompts. After the recording has been saved, refresh the Audio Files page to see the recorded file.
Upload
If the audio file is on your computer as a .wav file, it can be uploaded. Keep in mind the upload limit is 60MB.
Click Upload to begin.
When the upload pop up is displayed, the files be dragged & dropped on to the upload window or click Upload File to search for the file.
After the file has been selected, click Upload to save.
After Uploading
When the audio file is ready, press Play to listen the audio, click Download to download a copy, or click Delete to remove the file. It's important to preview each file in it entirety at least once to ensure there are no errors.
Once the file is ready, it can be used for voicemail and IVR greetings, IVR digit options, hold music groups, DNC prompt audio, conference join message and all announcements such as queue announcements and/or agent pre-connect announcement, ring group call confirmation announcement and/or "too late" announcement.
