Tags are labels used to identify contacts as being part of specific groupings. They can be used to section data off for certain contact arrangements.
For example, tags can be created to identify a certain contact status such "cold," "warm," or"hot" contacts. Or, they can be created during the upload process by using the phone list title as the tag to identify contacts.
Tag Creation
Tags are automatically created if the "Tags to Add to These Contacts" section has the phone list title set as the tag during the upload stage. If the phone list tag is selected, the tag is automatically added to the contact form. A csv file created tag makes it useful for managing contacts from that phone list.
Tags can also be manually created.
Go to: Data > Tags
Click Create New Tag to begin.
Name. Create a name for the tag and click Save to finish.
Once a new tag has been created, it's displayed on the main Tags page.
Count. This displays the number of contacts that are assigned with the tag.
Last Used On. This displays the last time the tag was used, whether from creation, editing, adding to contacts, or used in a process such as an automation or sales funnel.
Controls. This provides editing or deleting options.
Filter Results
When multiple tags are created, the filter options are useful.
Click Filter Results open the query filters.
ID. Enter the tag ID to search.
Search Name. Enter the full or partial name of the tag to search.
Contacts Archived. Tags that have not been used in three months or more, and have over one thousand contacts, will be archived. If this filter is set to "True," it displays tags that have been archived. If left empty, it displays both archived and active tags.
Contact Counts. This range searches for a minimum + maximum number of contacts that are within the tag.
CSV File Tags. As mentioned earlier, tags are created when uploading a csv file. This option filters for tags that are csv files.
Created On. This date range searches for dates in which the tag was created.
Last Used On. This date range searches for dates in which the tag was last used.
After the query filters have been set, click Filter to search.
Tags are useful for identifying and applying relevant tags that help with data management. Keep in mind, multiple tags can be created and assigned to the same contact. Just make sure they don't conflict with certain processes such as target and exclusion tags within live filters. Tags can be used with live filters' target or exclusion tags, sales funnels rules, automations, bulk updates, and other processes.
