Go to: Manager Dashboard > PBX > Additional > Announcements
Announcements serve as PBX destinations where pre-recorded audio messages are played to callers. This feature allows businesses to deliver important information, instructions, or promotional content. Callers can be directed to an announcement destination to listen to a message before routing to their next destination such as a queue, IVR, an agent, a voicemail - or end the call, after the message has played, if appropriate.
Click Create Announcement to begin.
Name. Create a name for the announcement.
Audio File. Select the Audio File that is to be used for the announcement.
Extension. Create an extension for this destination. Although extensions are optional, they are required if announcements are to be used with Connectors.
Next Destination. After the audio message plays, this selection redirects callers to any pre-defined destination within your account. This can also be left blank to hang up the call after the audio has ended.
Click Save to finish.
Agent Dashboard Transfer
After the announcement destination has been created, when an agent is on call and clicks Transfer, they can click Keypad Entry or Predefined Destination on their dialpad. By entering the destination's extension, the call can be transferred to the announcement.
