DNC prompts are specialized PBX destinations designed to handle calls in a manner that adheres to "Do Not Contact" compliance protocols. These prompts can be utilized to manage unwanted communications efficiently by having callers enter their phone number to be added to your company's DNC list.
Click Create DNC Prompt to begin.
Name. Create a name for the DNC prompt.
Custom DNC Prompt Audio. If an Audio File has been created for the prompt, it can be added here. Alternatively, this can be left empty to play the system's default DNC prompt audio.
Extension. Create an extension number in order for this prompt to be available as a destination. This can then be used with DIDs, connectors, and predefined destination options on the agent dashboard.
Next Destination. This feature allows for any available destinations within your account to be used as a "next destination" such as an agent, queue, voicemail, etc.
Do Not Contact List
Go to: Data > Do Not Contact List
When the phone number has been added, it can be viewed on your DNC list page to confirm it's been added.
Conclusion
It is of utmost importance that we take the DNC seriously. DNC prompts serve as an essential tool for businesses aiming to maintain compliance with telecom laws, enhance customer experience, and minimize unwanted or unnecessary interactions. By integrating this feature into your operation, you can streamline call management while respecting callers’ preferences.
